Universal Asset Management (UAM) is an industry leader in the business of buying, selling, leasing, managing and recycling a wide variety of commercial aviation assets for an array of clients. The company specializes in Asset and Inventory Management, Aircraft Leasing, Component Sales, End-of-Life Recycling Programs and innovative technology research and development.
Headquartered in Miami, Florida, the company has undergone considerable change and experienced monumental growth over the past decade. UAM has expanded to include offices and assets on six continents. UAM has implemented new technologies in every division and role throughout the company while transforming warehouses and UAM aircraft facilities to over five times their size. In March of 2017, UAM was acquired by ARI, a Hong Kong company, focused on commercial aircraft leasing and asset management.
Duties:
- Responsible for general staff recruitment for Mississippi working closely with HR Director
- Conduct and Monitor payroll changes for proper implementation and reporting to HR Director and Finance
- Coordinate of vacation balance and work closely with the HR Director
- Assist with the coordination of Worker’s Compensation matters working closely with the HR Director
- Provide communication on upcoming HR Process changes per HR Director
- First point of contact with employees who have payroll and benefit questions
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on company policies
- Working with HR Director and Management to navigate through employee relations issues
- Conduct orientation sessions with new hires
- Coordinate training with HR Director
- Prepares reports to track HR Metrics to support and track HR initiatives
- Manage and respond to inquiries and special projects, as required, that support Corporate HR as well as Business Needs
- Assist in smooth execution of the on-boarding and off-boarding process
- Travel is required to both facilities and out of state as requested
Qualifications amp; Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field OR 3 years’ of related experience in Human Resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to relate information with clarity.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft platform and time and attendance systems, for the purposes of data entry and report creation and maintenance.
