A Strategy Consultant with experience supporting clients within the Retail industry. Your experience includes working with management teams and senior leadership to support clients on strategies to transform their business operations or business model so they can achieve their strategic, financial, and operational goals. As a consultant, you're a natural at working within teams and mentoring analysts. You thrive in solving complex problems, thanks to your prodigious analytical skills and structured approach. You have excellent communication and people skills along with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strategy professionals help clients develop corporate strategies, make strategic M&A decisions, structure effective business and operating models, and transform their business - all in an effort to grow while maintaining or reducing costs. In today's digital world where industries are colliding and the path to profitability is shifting, retailers must fundamentally change their business models. It is an era of change everywhere where digitization is ubiquitous and happening at scale. Depending on growth from stores is an idea of the past. In the near future, all growth will come from digital or be influenced by it.

The Work:

  • Support the delivery of projects to assess clients' position in the Retail industry and ensure they are positioned for long-term success with practical roadmaps for carrying out strategy, managing change, and delivering value.

  • Support teams to deliver world-class business, operations, and technology strategy solutions that meet the needs of clients.

  • Build relationships with clients and Accenture's leaders and partner with them to create strategic solutions that sustain Accenture's profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner.

  • Provide overall guidance on quantitative analysis and research to generate recommendations and insights and drive outcomes.

  • Provides solutions to complex business problems for areas(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

  • Mentor junior members of the team.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working at the intersection of Business and Technology

  • Minimum 2+ years of Strategy consulting experience from a Tier 1 consulting firm or equivalent in an internal consulting role

  • Minimum of 2 years experience focusing in the Retail or CPG industries, with a high preference for those with Apparel and Merchandising experience

  • A University Degree is required for this position

  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus Points if:

  • Practical knowledge and understanding of Analytics and Digital technologies

  • Understanding of what is takes for a strategy to be executed

  • Must have a high-level understanding on how ecosystems fit into the digital world, and how digital technology is changing business

  • Well networked with client executives in the Canadian Corporate landscape

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize the issues and present solutions

  • Ability to shape a value proposition

  • Experience with Market Entry, Pricing, Market Agenda

  • ZBX experience and skills preferred

  • Master's Degree
