Description
Job Duties:
  • Assist technologists with patient preparation and positioning for imaging procedures.
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for use.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and patient care areas according to infection control standards.
  • Verify patient identification and assist with intake, screening, and documentation processes.
  • Support workflow coordination by communicating with front office staff, technologists, and providers.
  • Monitor patient flow and assist in reducing delays and improving operational efficiency.
  • Transport patients, records, and supplies as needed throughout the department.
  • Observe patients and report concerns or changes in condition to licensed staff promptly.
  • Assist with clerical tasks including scanning, filing, data entry, and maintaining electronic medical records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Follow all safety, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support the technologist with IV placement and patient preparation procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office or healthcare systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, radiology, medical assisting, or customer service preferred
  • IV experience preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced clinical or outpatient environment preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
