Sharon Veterinary Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our thriving practice. Sharon Veterinary Hospital strives to help our team members find a balance between life and work. The Veterinary Assistant needs to be passionate towards our patients, clients and staff. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. They would be a positive team player looking to support our amazing team and willing to continue their own education. The individual would be confident in rooming the patients, proper animal handling, and preforming daily tasks for a veterinary hospital and not opposed to helping in other areas if needed and wants to advance their skills to the next level. If you are a hard worker, able to multi-task, love working with animals and people, and are ready to advance your career skills then Sharon Veterinary Hospital looks forward to hearing from you!

Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.

  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
