Job description

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) group.

  • Duties include aligning emerging technology innovation for the commercialization mission by conducting engineering assessments and identifying promising emerging technologies for transition into the Missile Defense System (MDS).

  • Provide direct support to the government customer by overseeing active research efforts and delivering clear, accurate reports.

  • Support Phase III Government Lead with all Phase III activities:
    • Follow-on Reviews
    • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) Reviews
    • OUSD(R&E) Review of Topics
    • Critical Technology Alignment & Review
    • Success Story (capture & chart builds)
    • Capability Submittal Guidance to SBCs
    • Review and verify all submitted topics have identified capability gaps identified on SIPR
    • Distribution of White Papers/Capability Briefs (inbox) to Appropriate MDA POCs

  • Must have a Bachelor's in a STEM field and no less than 7 years of experience 
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management is needed to plan and develop emerging technology capabilities and analysis priorities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BMDS to successfully develop and optimize technologies for next-generation missions utilizing system and component analysis principles required to successfully transition technology with system architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate projects across multiple organizations
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in managing the development of technical products
  • Demonstrated skill in oral and written communications, developing and presenting briefings and preparing technical reports.

  • Possess the ability to identify and resolve complex issues across organizational boundaries requiring in-depth knowledge of engineering fields in structural, propulsion, optical, chemistry, physics, operations research, mathematics, and computer science fields.

  • Demonstrated the expertise in project management needed to plan and develop emerging technology capabilities and analysis priorities.

  • Skills include tracking and managing fast-tempo projects with attention to detail and schedule. Demonstrated knowledge of MDS to successfully develop and optimize technologies for next-generation missions utilizing system and component analysis principles required to successfully transition technology with system architecture.
