The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, shelter management experience, and a passion for animal welfare. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating closely with staff, volunteers, foster families, adopters, veterinary professionals, and organizational leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the care, transportation, intake, adoption, and return of cats and kittens within the program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for adopters, foster caregivers, volunteers, and Beth Stern-related program inquiries.
  • Monitor animal welfare and coordinate medical, behavioral, and foster care needs in collaboration with veterinary and shelter teams.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers and interns to support program growth and adoption goals.
  • Prepare reports and provide regular updates on program activity, adoption outcomes, and foster placements.
  • Collaborate with Shelter Operations, Rescue, Foster Care, Adoptions, and Veterinary Services to ensure successful animal placements and program effectiveness.
  • Assist with adoption promotion efforts and identify animals that would benefit from inclusion in the BFF program.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with the ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Positive, professional, and collaborative team player.
