When you join Technip Eneries, you become part of a global team that values innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and career growth. Our people are empowered to take on meaningful work, solve complex challenges, and help shape the future of energy.

If you are looking for an opportunity to work on high-impact industrial projects with a company at the forefront of the energy transition, this could be the role for you.

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Houston, TX.

Please Note:

About the Role

Technip Energies is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support major industrial and energy projects. This position will initially be based in our Houston home office, supporting pre-construction planning, estimating, and project coordination activities, with strong potential to transition to an active construction site during project execution.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced project environments and wants exposure to large-scale EPC and industrial construction projects within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial awareness, cost management expertise, and the ability to work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to ensure successful project delivery.

You will play a critical role in helping manage project financial performance, supporting contract administration, tracking costs, evaluating risks, and driving commercial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and bills of quantities
  • Monitor and control project costs, change orders, and budget variances
  • Support subcontractor procurement activities, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations
  • Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Assist with contract administration and commercial management activities
  • Develop and maintain cost reporting tools, progress tracking, and forecasting models
  • Support project risk analysis and identify potential commercial exposures
  • Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, procurement, and project controls teams
  • Participate in site coordination activities and support field execution when required
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and project procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery and cost management processes

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting industrial construction projects
  • Experience within oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, energy, EPC, or large industrial environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management, and project cost controls
  • Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract structures preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cost management/reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale EPC or energy infrastructure projects
  • Professional certifications such as RICS, AIQS, or equivalent are considered a plus
  • Prior experience transitioning between home office and active construction site environments
