Southern Industrial Constructors is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Technical Writer Intern to support our IT team in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates with a passion for technology and strong writing skills. You'll gain hands-on experience working with engineers, analysts, and support teams to produce user guides, technical manuals, and internal documentation. This is a full-time, paid internship working with a large industrial construction company based out of Raleigh, NC. Dates for internship are May 18th - July 31st.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in writing and editing technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, FAQs, and internal process documents.
    • Collaborate with IT staff to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content.
    • Help maintain and update documentation repositories and knowledge bases.
    • Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and style across all documents.
    • Participate in document reviews and incorporate feedback from subject matter experts.
    • Support the creation of diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance documentation.
    • Learn and apply best practices in technical writing and documentation standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Basic understanding of IT concepts (e.g., networking, software, hardware).
