Job description


A manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Assembler to work Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components
  • Follow detailed engineering drawings and parts lists to complete proper assembly
  • Prepare sub-assemblies and related parts for final assembly
  • Wire, solder, install tubing and options in sub-assembly for final assembly
  • Utilize problem-solving skills as a resource for continuous improvement
  • Use a variety of hand-tools and power tools to complete product assembly
  • Assist with all aspects of Assembly when needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and promote safety with others
  • Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have 3 years' previous mechanical/electrical assembly experience
  • Some experience with customer technical support is a plus
  • Must have a working knowledge of and ability to use mechanical, electrical and measuring tools
  • Must have the ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Must have the ability to write general assembly instructions when necessary to document processes
  • The ability to operate a forklift to move materials is a plus
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, lift 50 pounds, be safety-conscious, and dependable
  • A willingness to travel as needed is a plus
