* This company is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of Active Duty U.S. military experience *

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Technical Writer, based out of their Austin TX facility.  

This company is a pioneer in the design and production uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for mission-critical operations worldwide.

Compensation: $70,000-80,000 

What You Will Do:
  • Primary responsibility is producing, updating and maintaining technical documentation (manuals, submittals, and product-related materials.) 
  • Will focus on organizing and formatting technical content using established templates and tools to ensure documentation is clear, accurate and consistent. 
  • Work closely w/engineering and service teams; support the development of documentation that meets both technical requirements and practical field use. 
  • Contribute to improving the clarity and usability of documentation for field service applications.

Education and Work Experience:
  • At least 4 years Active Duty US Military experience required.
  • Specialized training and/or experience with complex, industrial, or electrical technical writing.
  • Must be familiar with electrical schematics and symbols, as well as basic document control procedures. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Experience working with structured documentation or templates preferred. 
  • Proficient in desktop publishing. 
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, and working knowledge of SolidWorks (FrameMaker and Adobe Suite experience preferred.)
