What You'll Do
As the Administrative Assistant for Transportation and Apprenticeship, you'll provide essential support to departments while serving as a key resource for students, faculty, and industry partners.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with department faculty and staff to support daily operations and program needs.
  • Assisting prospective students through the application, admissions, and registration processes.
  • Answering questions regarding programs, prerequisites, admissions requirements, and instructional procedures.
  • Preparing and maintaining confidential student and departmental records in accordance with college policies.
  • Assisting with student registration, grading, progress tracking, completion reporting, and graduation documentation.
  • Supporting accreditation efforts, including completion, placement, and licensure reporting.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting data for internal departments and external agencies.
  • Creating, formatting, and maintaining reports, forms, correspondence, and other program documentation.
  • Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes for staff, advisory committee, and departmental meetings.
  • Receiving incoming calls, responding to inquiries, taking messages, and routing communications appropriately.
  • Ordering office, laboratory, and instructional supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Assisting with special projects, accreditation preparation, evaluations, reports, and departmental initiatives.
  • Supporting program events, activities, student celebrations, and graduations.
  • Promoting a positive image of the college through exceptional customer service and professionalism.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
