Lead the Training That Powers Reliability
At American Transmission Company (ATC), reliable electric transmission starts with highly skilled operators who can make critical decisions that keep the grid safe, secure, and operating effectively. We're seeking an Initial Training Program Manager to help shape the future of System Operations training by leading the execution and continuous improvement of our Initial Training Program. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operator, trainer, or operations leader who enjoys turning operational expertise into practical, structured learning experiences that help others succeed.

Essential Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

  • Manage and execute ATC's Initial Training Program structure, schedule, curriculum, and qualification pathway.
  • Coordinate classroom training, simulator-based training activities, and on-the-job training progression.
  • Deliver technical instruction and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for on-the-job training and mentoring programs.
  • Support regulatory compliance requirements, including NERC standards, the Systematic Approach to Training, and PER-005.

The targeted base pay for this position is $137,900 to $160,900 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much more.
