Job description

Position Summary:
We're seeking a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to join our aerospace production team. This role will primarily support a dedicated program requiring full-time focus on specialized tasks, including riveting and cutting pad material, while ensuring components meet exact specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical assembly of aerospace components using hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision instruments
  • Execute repetitive production tasks for a specific program, including riveting and precision cutting of pad material
  • Follow detailed blueprints, work instructions, and schematics
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation and production records
  • Support continuous improvement

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience-preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing-preferred but not required
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Experience with sheet metal is a plus
  • A&P is a plus
