Job description

Technical Support Specialist (Desktop Support)

Location: Memphis, TN (Onsite Monday-Friday)

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support within a large enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with end users, and delivering outstanding customer service.

The successful candidate will support Windows and macOS workstations, Microsoft 365, endpoint management technologies, mobile devices, and a wide variety of desktop hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative IT environment supporting day-to-day operations while participating in enterprise technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktop hardware, software, and endpoint devices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows and macOS computers, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, mobile devices, and desktop peripherals.

  • Deploy, image, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related endpoint hardware.

  • Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.

  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot macOS devices, iPhones, iPads, and mobile applications.

  • Install, configure, and maintain network and local printers and related peripherals.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for computers, monitors, mobile devices, printers, and other IT assets.

  • Support workstation deployments, hardware refresh projects, office moves, and new employee technology setups.

  • Participate in departmental technology initiatives and special IT projects.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, relevant technical certifications, or at least three years of enterprise desktop support or service desk experience.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Microsoft Intune.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Experience supporting desktop imaging, device deployment, and endpoint configuration.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, printers, and peripherals.

  • Experience supporting Apple macOS, iPhone, and iPad devices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.

  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments.

  • Experience with endpoint lifecycle management, hardware deployment, and IT asset management.

  • Familiarity with enterprise endpoint security and device management best practices.
