Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical SupportEngineer to provide front-line technical support for DTS hardware andsoftware systems. This role is ideal for a technically skilledprofessional who thrives on problem-solving, customer interaction, andcross-functional collaboration. The Technical Support Engineer willdiagnose and resolve customer issues, support installations,contribute to product improvements, and help ensure the highest levelsof customer satisfaction.

Summary

The Technical Support Engineer provides technicalsupport for DTS hardware and software systems by diagnosing,troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues in accordance withinestablished procedures and individual skill level. This role serves asa front-line resource for the Help Center by responding to supporttickets independently and/or in collaboration with senior technicalstaff as appropriate.

Responsibilities and Duties

include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support for DTS hardware and software systems bydiagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues inaccordance with established procedures and individual skill level.
  • Serve as a front-line resource for the Help Center by respondingto support tickets independently and/or in collaboration with seniortechnical staff as appropriate.
  • Test, evaluate, and verify software, system, and productperformance to ensure customer requirements and quality standardsare met.
  • Support sensor installation, wiring, configuration, calibration,and system setup for customer applications.
  • Maintain, develop, and update technical documentation, knowledgebase articles, and Help Center content related to common issues,solutions, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams tocommunicate customer feedback, support product improvements, andassist in defining and reviewing system and product requirements.
  • Provide web-based, remote, and on-site technical support,including customer training and system demonstrations, as assigned.
  • May participate in customer meetings, site visits, and trainingsessions, independently or alongside senior technical staff,depending on experience level and project scope.
  • May assist with pre-sales and post-sales technical activities asneeded, with primary emphasis on post-sales customer support.
  • Design, develop, or assist with custom support solutions,including interface circuits, cables, and related system components,as needed.
  • Contribute to internal training programs, technical documentation,and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development activities, such astraining sessions and mentoring or shadowing experienced engineers.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as requested byDTS management.
Experience and Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform the Responsibilities and Duties satisfactorily. Thequalifications and skills listed below are representative of theknowledge, skills, and/or abilities for the job.   • Technical degree in electronics/engineering or equivalent trainingand previous (approximately 2 years) in a technical role involvingdata acquisition, sensors, or embedded systems, or an equivalentcombination nation of education and experience is necessary.
  • Related experience working in automotive crash, flight test,and/or aerospace & Defense (A&D) sectors is preferred. Experience working with aerospace and/or automotive testingapplications is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of DTS product lines is necessary followingapplicable training.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using various computer programs, such asOutlook, Word, and Excel, as well as, the ability to learn andmaster several essential DTS software products essential isnecessary.
    • Demonstrated ability to resolve customer/product issues withinestablished timeline, as well as, to address and documentdetails, simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines,and collaborate effectively with other individuals/departmentsis necessary.
    Demonstrated ability to manage projectsas well as the ability to understand project priorities, developplans that will achieve stated goals on schedule, anticipateproblems, and develop solutions to correct or prevent obstacles is necessary.
  • The ability to effectively communicate and present information,verbally and in writing, in a professional, diplomatic manner to avariety of audiences (internal, customers, and vendors) is necessary.
  • Well-developed analytical, reasoning, inter-personalcommunication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills is necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to change and react positively to changingbusiness needs is necessary.
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international locations forcustomer support/meetings, trade shows, or technical workshops is necessary.

Estimated Salary Range:

The estimated salary range listed below allows for candidates withvarious levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well asroom for growth achieved within the role over time. Offers extendedto a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge,skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

$95k - $135k annualized

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Equipment Use

This position works in an environment in which safety, environmentaland health concerns may demand constant attention. The workenvironment is a production and engineering area and typical businessoffice. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, andhave the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Occasional US and/or international travel to customer, vendor,corporate, and/or other sites may be necessary based on business orcustomer needs.

This position requires compliance with U.S. Export Controlrequirements. Therefore candidates must qualify as a a U.S. Person asdefined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
