About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Technical Support Associate and become an integral part of a high-impact Operations Repair & Maintenance Team within a state-of-the-art optics manufacturing facility in Richardson, TX. In this highly hands-on role, you will ensure the production readiness and uptime of advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, defense industry setting. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge optical technologies, daily technical challenges, and opportunities to develop your expertise in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment
- Lead or support installation and upgrades of production equipment across multiple factories
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols
- Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, current probes) and schematics to resolve complex equipment issues
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to maximize equipment safety, reliability, and efficiency
- Support facility layout planning, capital equipment procurement, and documentation updates
- Participate in call-in, weekend, and occasional Friday work to support critical operations
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and Raytheon safety protocols
Required Skills and Experience
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or production setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting proficiency
- Demonstrated experience with automated equipment, control systems, and high-voltage systems (480V, 208V, 110V, DC)
- Skilled in using diagnostic instruments and interpreting technical documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to train on 1st shift (6-8 weeks) and transition to 2nd shift; available for weekends and call-in work
- Comfortable working directly with high-voltage equipment in a hands-on environment
- Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vacuum systems, optical coating (vacuum deposition), diamond point turning, RF power systems, PLC systems, and ladder logic
- Background in optics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environments
- Strong initiative and a proven record of independent technical problem-solving
- Ability to excel under pressure in high-demand manufacturing settings
