Job description

POS Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and bilingual (English and Spanish)Technical Support Specialist to join our growing Merchant Services team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients and merchants, providing exceptional technical support and ensuring smooth deployment, implementation, and operation of our payment processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Assist clients with inquiries and issues related to payment processing software and hardware. Provide timely and effective solutions to technical problems regarding installation of software, configuration of software/hardware, cables/wiring, and networks.

  • Application Support: Troubleshoot software issues, guiding clients through the setup, configuration, and optimization of payment applications.

  • Implementation & Installation: Oversee the installation and configuration of Merchant Services software and hardware at client locations, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, working collaboratively with other departments as needed.

  • Management & Documentation: Maintain POS department equipment and tools. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, issues, and resolutions in the support ticketing system.

  • Training: Provide training to associates and clients on system usage and best practices to enhance their experience and productivity.

  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the product and development teams to relay client feedback and suggest improvements to products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (OR equivalent work experience).

  • Must be fluent (conversational) in Spanish 

  • Technical support experience, preferably in the Merchant Services or financial technology sector.

  • Strong understanding of payment processing systems, point-of-sale (POS) hardware, and related applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and technical information to non-technical clients.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
