Job description

AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Role Type:
Full-Time

Role Overview

As the Senior Principal AWS Architect, you will own the end-to-end technical architecture, design, and execution strategy for the core
module for an evaluation engine.

You will lead the engineering teams in building a highly resilient, event-driven ecosystem that ingests massive streams of telemetry and network events, evaluates them against complex business policies, routes candidate records to downstream operational ticketing tools, and maintains absolute platform visibility. This is a high-impact role requiring deep cloud-native expertise to manage microservices containerized on AWS EKS alongside an enterprise-scale distributed messaging and storage layer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and scale high-throughput, configuration-driven ingestion jobs that read normalized event streams from OpenSearch and MSK (Kafka).
  • Build a robust framework utilizing Amazon DynamoDB to store dynamic ingestion metadata, orchestrating what telemetry to pull, filters to apply, and ingestion frequency.
  • Architect the primary evaluation module on Kubernetes to host policy engines running complex rule sets
  • Implement zero-downtime, config-driven strategy patterns ensuring rule parameters, exclusion criteria, and thresholds can change dynamically without requiring code redeployments.
  • Define metadata storage architectures leveraging a combination of DynamoDB and Amazon DocumentDB for rapid evaluation querying.
  • Establish the architecture for the Integration Service layer to enrich, de-duplicate, correlate, and seamlessly route candidate outage events into downstream ticketing platforms
  • Oversee the construction of the reporting layer, mapping processed records into Amazon S3 data lake structures optimized for direct querying.
  • Build cross-cluster observability jobs running inside dedicated pods to monitor the health, saturation, and latency of individual ingestion and evaluation workers.
  • Integrate telemetry pipelines with external observability platforms to establish comprehensive executive dashboards and real-time alerts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience & Validation:
12+ years of enterprise-level software and infrastructure architecture experience. A current
AWS Certified Solutions Architect โ€“ Professional
credential is non-negotiable.
- Kubernetes Mastery:
Proven track record of architecting production-grade workloads on AWS EKS, including cluster sizing, service meshes, namespace isolation, and pod security policies.
- Event-Driven Architectures:
Deep background building high-concurrency event parsing mechanisms using Kafka (MSK), managing stream offsets, partition strategies, and consumer-group optimization.
- Data Lake & NoSQL Patterns:
Strong knowledge of data tiering patterns, partitioning strategies in S3/Athena, and structuring efficient index/partition keys within DynamoDB to optimize cost and performance.
