ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The IT Support Specialists' primary role is to manage technology and service delivery for our locations in Alabama and Mississippi. This role involves a mix of remote troubleshooting and on-site hardware support. Since the IT Director is based in Texas, we need a self-sufficient professional who can manage their own desk, prioritize incoming tickets, and keep our regional sites running smoothly with minimal local supervision. This position will require up to 30% travel.
  • Ticket Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for approximately 90 endpoints. Triage and resolve support requests independently, escalating to the Director only when necessary.
  • On-site Support: Provide hands-on maintenance for desktops, laptops, and printers across two buildings in our Alabama facility.
  • User Transitions: Handle the technical side of employee onboarding and offboarding, including Active Directory/M365 account setups and hardware deployment.
  • Infrastructure Liaison: Act as our local contact for our 3rd-party vendors and provide "on-the-ground" feedback to the Director regarding site needs or equipment upgrades.
  • Regional Coverage: Primarily based in Alabama, with very occasional trips to our smaller Mississippi site to handle physical hardware needs that cannot be resolved remotely and added remote support for Houston, TX sites.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
  • Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
