Technical Services Sales Representative

Department: Business Development

Reports To: Vice President of Marketing

Location: Remote (home office based in Prague, Oklahoma)

Travel: Approximately 25–40%

About the Role

As Centerline Technical Services continues to expand its capabilities and service offerings, we are seeking a motivated, consultative Sales Representative to help drive growth across our Technical Services portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding customer challenges, and delivering solutions that create measurable value.

You'll work with clients across the energy, government, utilities, engineering, construction, and land development industries, helping them solve complex challenges through our technical service offerings, including land surveying, UAV/drone services, hydrographic surveying, GIS, mapping, and other field data collection solutions.

You'll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying opportunities to developing proposals, closing business, and growing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities for Centerline Technical Services portfolio across target industries, including energy, utilities, government, engineering, construction, and land development.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Centerline's technical service offerings to effectively communicate value and recommend solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with technical teams to assess customer challenges, recommend appropriate technical solutions, and develop customized proposals.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company policy to close new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Scope projects and develop competitive proposals for land surveying, UAV/drone services, hydrographic surveying, GIS, mapping, and related field data collection solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including chief surveyors, engineering managers, project managers, and department heads.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities to identify new business opportunities and effectively position Centerline's Technical Services portfolio.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and lead-generation strategies that promote Centerline's Technical Services portfolio.
  • Develop strategic account plans to grow existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and standard sales productivity tools.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Familiarity with surveying, geospatial, engineering, or related technical services, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and solutions.
  • Prior experience selling surveying, geospatial, or engineering services is a plus.
  • Existing network of contacts in oil & gas, government, utilities, or land development/engineering firms.
  • Experience selling into public sector/government procurement processes.
