Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Develops sound relationships with customers, acting as a liaison between company and customer. Identify maintenance and service needs. Communicate with customers during repairs and coordinate customer pick-up.
  • Administration: Prepare itemized work orders, including parts, costs, and labor. Travel off-site for boat inspection and estimates. Maintain work orders in ERP/MRP system.
  • Project Coordination: Work with supervisors/leaders to schedule workforce and equipment. Provide detailed work orders for yard operations, including delivery/commitment dates.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality control by performing inspections and verifications of job tasks prior to billing and vessel departures. Maintain and monitor service jobs in process and obtain customer approval for growth work or scope change.
  • Sales/Marketing: Promote the sale of additional services, parts, and accessories in a professional manner. Assist in general sales for boat shows and other marketing events. All duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience selling technical services or luxury goods/ services.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical information.
  • Generate financial reports and contracts.
  • Experience in estimating boat repairs, hours of labor, and costs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous boatyard/shipyard experience preferred.
