Job description

MTSI needs to add a Certified Scrum Master to our team in support of our customer local to Dayton, OH.
Job Duties:
  • Facilitate scrum events, such as daily stand ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Support and educate product owners to ensure priorities align with product goals and the product backlog is maintained.
  • Mentor team on Agile principles and practices.
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement
  • Facilitate clear and transparent communication between the team and the stakeholders.
  • Ensure team readiness to present at Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
  • Collaborate with scrum masters in Scrum of Scrums.
  • Prepare team for quarterly release planning events.
  • May be required to perform activities within NASIC and adhere to security requirements for access to classified information

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S Citizenship with an active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Team Agreements, Definition of Done, Definition of Ready, Acceptance Criteria
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (Scrum Alliance preferred)

Required Experience:
  • Active TS/SCI
  • 8+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master
  • Ability to adjust to requirements evolution
  • Excellent Communication skills demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form
  • Knowledge of the SDLC and interrelationships with agile development

Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance
  • Flexibility to support software testing activities, as dictated by priorities, to include:
  • Designing test plans and procedures to verify requirements
  • Executing test procedures against the code baseline
  • Preparing test reports detailing results of testing
  • Updating tracking software with the results of testing
  • Working closely with users to verify requirements and software acceptance
  • Experience writing test utilities using programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++
  • Experience with automated test tools (ex. TestComplete, Google Test, QF-Test)
