Job description

Manage the sales engineering department and administrative staff to ensure success in the following areas: customer quotations, plant layouts, sales orders, sales data and reports/presentations, sales literature and marketing, advertising and travel itineraries.
Essential job functions
*Provide daily direction and communication to employees so that customer quotes are completed in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner. Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.
*Insure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs. Respond to and resolve employee relations issues expressed by team members; create and maintain high quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
*Establish work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.
*Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff (Domestic and International) and customers
*Research and update product costs, selling prices and determine profit margins.
*Approve customer quotations and order confirmations.
*Conduct margin analyses on projects, including the equipment and supervision of the installation.
*Conduct bi-weekly Business Review Meetings
Other duties: coordinate company and plant visits, direct staff for IPE, assist with sales statistics, liaison between sales and customers, and partner with finance to ensure correct invoicing.
Education-Skills-Experience
Degree: 4 year degree in related area
Years of experience needed for position: 5+ years in a sales related position in the poultry industry
Years of experience in lieu of education: 4
Specific skill sets necessary for the position: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, proficient in Word/Excel and BaaN software (ERP), ability to lead, motivate and develop staff to ensure a team-oriented environment, ability to prioritize and multi-task, poultry industry experience required.
Physical requirements: May need to move heavy equipment. Some travel required.
