Job Description

This role offers a range of $76,000 to $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

We are seeking a Technical Service Representative (Liquid Water) to work with us. This person will report to the Technical Service Director for performance of assigned functions. Time will be split between working out of the Homewood lab and performing technical service at customer locations. Travel domestically up to 50%. As a Technical Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing color matching and completing drawdown requests
  • Managing color/standard database
  • Communicating with the customer on color match and technical requests
  • Performing lab functions when working out of the lab
  • Performing Technical Service at customer locations
  • Controlling Work-off, press-side technical support, housekeeping and monthly reporting
  • Handling Inventory management and record-keeping
  • Following all safety requirements
  • Dispensing inks, performing color matches, supporting/training ink room staff
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a color vision test
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel
  • Be able to match colors effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Effectively communicate with peers and customers
  • Have excellent written, reading comprehension and basic math skills
  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Associate degree from 2-year college or trade school
  • Previous ink inplant experience
  • SAP experience and proficient with Microsoft Suite programs.
  • 3-5 years in the ink industry and experience in commercial printing
