JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated research interns and to join our Access and Evaluation team of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State.

Your working location will be on-site in State College, Pennsylvania.

ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.

You will:

  • Support research staff and faculty

  • Conduct data analysis

  • Support test and evaluation of software and models

  • Assist with exploratory data analysis

  • Develop and implement software methods in support of data analytics

  • Visualize, interpret, and report data findings in dynamic data reports

Required skills/experience areas include:

  • Computing or with computing-adjacent technologies

  • Data science, cybersecurity, programming, etc.

  • A willingness to both work with hardware and develop high-level software applications

  • Existing government security clearance

Preferred skills/experience areas include:

  • An existing secret or top secret security clearance

  • Development of software within DoD development environment

  • Development or evaluation AI/ML models

Your working location will be located fully onsite in State College.
