MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Crane, IN.
You will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement at an industry-leading organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Writing comprehensive, error-free technical content tailored to different audiences such as end-users, developers, or internal staff.
  • Designing and incorporating supporting materials, including diagrams, charts, infographics, and screenshots, to enhance user understanding.
  • Ensuring all documentation follows established style guides, branding guidelines, and accessibility standards.
  • Working directly with subject matter experts (SMEs), developers, and engineers to collect accurate technical data.
  • Joining project meetings to understand upcoming product features and release cycles while managing the content lifecycle through routine reviews and updates.
  • Editing and proofreading material produced by peers or other team members to ensure technical accuracy and quality assurance.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related experience in technical writing or content development.
  • Proven ability to interview technical experts and distill dense, complex information into clear, accessible documentation.
  • Capability to work smoothly with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to keep content accurate.
  • Demonstrated experience managing version control and content lifecycles based on technical feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • 2+ years professional experience in technical writing/editing.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess a Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
