Job description

Quality Control Leadership PositionThis leadership position is responsible for planning, coordinating, maintaining, directing, overseeing and continuous improvement of the company's quality control function and maintaining and improving our quality management system to assure that the company meets its related strategic objectives. Assist with the coordination of facility 6-S efforts.Essential FunctionsEnsures a safe and environmentally compliant workplace that meets all regulatory standards. Assures compliance for all company, regulatory, and EH&S policies and procedures.Adheres to all Company 6-S initiatives and policies. Ensures all employees follow 6-S rules.The leader in maintaining and improving C-M's quality management system, strategy, goals, and objectives to support the business plan.Acts as the company's management representative with responsibilities for ensuring the QMS system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO, Aerospace, and customer requirements.Oversees all internal audit activities including ensuring the proper training of internal auditors.Serve as subject matter expert for quality system framework, methods, and tools.Acts as key contact for customers, regulatory agencies, and external auditors on quality system related issues.Develop new approaches to solving problems identified during quality activities.Prepares and presents technical and quality system reports.Keeps management team abreast of issues, corrective actions, or developments in QMS related activities.Coach, mentors, trains, and provides leadership to all levels of the organization pertaining to quality system requirements.Champions continuous improvement in the QMS function.Ensures a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints regarding quality.Oversees direct reports and provides guidance and leadership to the quality team in order to improve the QMS system and obtain plant and corporate objectives.Manage, lead, and facilitate root cause/corrective action investigations.The leader of the Process Change Request (PCR) process and Fixed Processes.Fulfill duties of Facility Compliance Officer (Export Controls).Other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceFour-year degree in a related field of study (e.g. Engineering, Material Science, Quality Management).Minimum of 5 years of quality management experience, preferably in the investment casting, medical device, or aerospace industry.Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.Special SkillsExcellent communication, interpersonal and teambuilding skills.Self-motivated and achievement oriented.Working knowledge of MS Office and spreadsheets & databases.Strong technical writing skills and knowledge of document control/document management systems.CompetenciesEffective communication with all levels of the organizationProblem solving skills.Technical aptitude.High attention to detail.Quality control.Project Management skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk or sit; regularly required to use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe typical work environment is a standard office setting / office contained in a foundry or manufacturing setting.
