POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing technology-related projects across the organization. This role bridges the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company goals. The TPM manages project lifecycles, anticipates risks, facilitates communication, and drives accountability across cross-functional teams. The TPM must also maintain a sharp focus on strategic objectives, effectively prioritizing and 'seeing through the noise' of a fast-moving, sometimes scrappily resourced environment to ensure project outcomes are always aligned with company goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, own, and autonomously manage the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent technical projects, from initial scoping through successful, end-to-end implementation (e.g., Prior Auth platform, CRM, member portal tools, call center platform, etc.)
  • Partner with Chief Analytics Officer, business stakeholders, engineers, vendors, and subject matter experts to document Project Briefs describing project goals, product requirements, user stories
  • Bridge communication between end users and engineering on business needs and priorities
  • Drive the technical aspects of client implementations, defining requirements and project plans for client security assessments, custom file exchanges, API integration, etc.
  • Track project tasks, timelines, KPIs, and outcomes to drive project success
  • Help facilitate executive technology prioritization meetings, sprint backlog grooming, and tech standups
  • Create product operational documentation, SOPs, training materials, user guides
  • Participate in hands-on execution of technical projects, as skills allow; e.g., SaaS product configuration, product testing, data analysis, etc.
  • Assist in conducting user training and user support
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5+ years of project management experience in a technical or SaaS environment
  • Required education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in technical or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • PMP, CSM, or other project management certification is a plus
  • Proven experience managing technical implementations in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth company with limited resources, demonstrating the ability to independently achieve results.
  • Understanding of Agile software development lifecycles
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet)
  • Successful experience managing significant vendor relationships for technology and services
  • Demonstrated experience with SaaS, cloud-based, and outsourced solutions through third party providers
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be both dynamic and highly organized, effectively managing ambiguity and conflicting priorities while maintaining clear project structure and alignment with high-level objectives in a fast-paced setting.
