Purpose of Position:
• The Project Manager is responsible for supporting and leading cross-functional technical teams through New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and engineering. This role focuses on driving execution, coordinating engineering resources, managing timelines, and ensuring successful setup and transition of new products, equipment and processes into manufacturing.
• The Project Manager works directly with Engineering, Commercial, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other plant functions to achieve project objectives while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing plant priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Defines and executes an overall project plan, including financial and people resources.
• Lead and coordinate technical teams to execute NPI and plant engineering projects from concept through manufacturing handoff
• Manages an NPI portfolio, project plans, schedules, milestones, and action items
• Drive accountability for commitments across engineering and plant functions
• Adjust priorities and resource plans as business and plant needs evolve
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, risks, and execution issues.
• Prepare concise project updates for engineering, plant leadership and commercial.
• Facilitate effective collaboration across engineering, development, commercial, operations, quality, and supply chain
• Identify execution, technical, and schedule risks; support mitigation and recovery planning
• Ensure projects comply with plant safety, quality, and engineering standards
• Support documentation of lessons learned and continuous improvement in project execution
Education & Experience:
• We require a Bachelor's Degree - preferably in a technical field (Engineering or Physical Sciences). Experience in optics is a plus.
• 2+ years' experience with Project Management / Leadership in leading internal or external teams
• Proven track record with structured project management
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams (commercial, engineering, operations, supply chain) in execution of programs, risk management, and problem solving.
• Proven technical aptitude with ability to discern technical approaches by asking the right questions of the team and communicate updates across multiple organizational levels
• Able to make sound decisions by blending analytical thinking with practical judgment, with a bias toward action.

• We anticipate less than 5% travel for this role.
Hours of work:
• Typical first shift production hours
• Evening and weekend support as needed

The range for this position is $81,750.00 - $112,406.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
