Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Project Manager to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Primarily On-Site Support (80%) to provide field project management for industrial construction projects inclusive of the following definable features of work: horizontal and vertical construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) installation, earthwork, aggregate processing, concrete placement, and testing.
  • Plans and executes all aspects of assigned projects including the development of scope of work (SOW) documents, budgets, schedules, and project implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with and support both the Program Manager and on-site Sr. Project Manager to establish project schedule and budget to include the number of hours required for successful completion of project tasks; manages the budget and oversees the profitability of the project.
  • Forecasts monthly revenue, labor costs, ODCs, and gross profit for the term of the project.
  • Anticipates project staffing needs and collaborates with the Program Manager, on-site Sr. Project Manager to identify and select personnel.
  • Responsible for project invoicing and billing including all accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Supports the establishment and implementation of Project Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
  • Actively promotes and supports safety, security, and quality policies; monitors the job site for good practices.
  • Establishes the project requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
  • Collaborates with project procurement staff to acquire qualified vendors for supply support or onsite tasks.
  • Plans materials requirements, identifies long lead items, and works with purchasing staff to coordinate supply support for field teams.
  • Establishes site security measures and monitors site access by subcontractors and others.
  • Chairs regular job meetings with project stakeholders; prepares and submits a project progression summary and pending issues to client and Program Manager.
  • Submits regular reports to client; responds to issues and/or expectation concerns.
  • Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors.
  • Anticipates problems and works with clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and Program Manager to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Keeps client and Program Manager informed of the daily project activities, including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of job progress through daily logs and other reports.
  • Establish objectives and conduct performance appraisals for direct reports. and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.
  • Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other equivalent additional related experience.
  • 10 years of demonstratable construction experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ in a leadership role at a field site.
  • Tactful and professional communications both orally and in writing to all levels of authority and stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Experience using Office Suite, Procore software to maintain and file construction document.
