Our Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic Transformation and Readiness team supporting missile control actuation systems. This individual will lead and coordinate a variety of projects supporting emerging growth activities and technical readiness within our Missiles Business Unit. Your projects will range from non-recurring engineering contract activities with prime contractors to continuous improvement initiatives designed to position the business for future expansion. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, executing schedules and budgets while applying your foundational technical expertise to ensure objectives are met on scope, time, quality, and budget. You will work closely with program managers, product engineers, quality engineers, and both internal and external customers. This position reports to the Transformation & Readiness Manager and includes a 9/80 schedule on first shift.

As our Technical Project Manager, you will add incredible value to the team by holding responsibility for:

  • Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring objectives are achieved according to scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.

  • Own and manage project budgets and schedules.

  • Apply foundational engineering/technical knowledge to advise on scope changes and support technical decision-making alongside a team of engineers.

  • Facilitate transitions of new programs from design activities to the Salt Lake City production center.

  • Manage both internal stakeholders and external customer relationships.

  • Drive emerging growth projects and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure readiness for future business opportunities.

  • Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve roadblocks and maintain momentum toward project goals.

  • Prepare status reports, communicate project progress, and propose solutions for complex issues.

  • Act as a team lead, delegating tasks and reviewing work products from other team members.

To be considered for this Technical Project Manager role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degreein Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline.

  • 5+ yearsof relevant project management experience within a complex manufacturing environment; engineering-related experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience specifically within thedefense industryis highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to manage projects involving technical requirements and detailed statements of work.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with internal and external teams.

  • Onsite availability in Salt Lake City, UT (remote candidates will not be considered).

Salary Range Transparency:
