Technical Project Manager
6+ Months (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)
Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Break down projects into manageable phases and tasks, assigning responsibilities to team members.
  • Coordinate cross-project activities, and identify, communicate, and mitigate cross-stream risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved.
  • Analyze work product progress and provide objective reporting of project status.
  • Coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.
  • Evaluate and assess the results of the project.
  • Partner with QA to coordinate UAT (user acceptance testing) and results.
  • Ensure definition of done is met for all releases.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project team members, and leadership.
  • Review and analyze stakeholder requirements, ensuring their alignment with project goals.
  • Coordinate diverse perspectives from various stakeholders to produce high quality project results.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns promptly to maintain project momentum and satisfaction.
  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members, empowering them to achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with, motivate and inspire team members to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential project risks and issues.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise.
  • Manage issue escalations constructively, ensuring appropriate communication, resolution, and engagement with leadership.
  • Responsible for managing all program documentation including: creating and maintaining comprehensive project plans, risk registers, status reports, testing plans, release notifications and communications.
  • Prepare regular project updates, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned from completed projects to improve future project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years of experience managing complex projects across multiple departments with competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, Azure and SQL Server.
  • Must have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects within budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including the ability to explain a server migration to the CEO and a business requirement to a Lead Developer without losing anything in translation.
  • Experience in project management methodologies (Agile Development frameworks) and tools, particularly Azure DevOps, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Visio and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of strategic alignment to ensure project goals align with company s long-term roadmap.
  • PMP certification desirable
  • Solid understanding of software development models and knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit project needs.
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, architecture, and terminology, particularly within a Microsoft-centric environment.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and follow through to successful completion of each initiative.
  • Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and work with others to find the best solution.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and resilience to handle unexpected changes and maintain project momentum.
