Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Project Manager III to join their team in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a point of contact for issue and feedback intake from Strategic Firms, triaging with enough technical depth to distinguish a genuine bug from a config/setup/permissions issue before it goes to product or engineering
* Maintain and update the tracker of themes and issues - status, owner, aging, technical root cause where known - and keep it audit-ready for stakeholder reporting
* Partner directly with engineering to understand root cause (e.g. API/integration failures, data sync issues, Role Bases Access problems, SSO) and translate it into plain language for non-technical stakeholders
* Ask engineering the right technical follow-up questions so issues move forward
* Track firm-level status (RYG) across the assigned firm portfolio and flag items at risk of becoming escalations
* Support in preparing biweekly stakeholder status updates and the stakeholder dashboard
* Track technical dependencies and escalations - whether an item is blocked on an engineering fix, a product decision, or a firm-side configuration issue - and surface blockers early
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of technical program/project management experience, ideally supporting a SaaS integration, API, or platform product
* Experience working cross-functionally with customers, engineering, product, and business stakeholders
* Strong organizational skills - comfortable owning a tracker/system of record and keeping it accurate under a steady flow of new items
* Proficiency with AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
* Comfortable reading a Jira ticket, log excerpt, or technical doc directly, without needing it translated first
* Comfortable operating with limited day-to-day oversight
* Able to translate technical issues into plain language for a non-technical stakeholder audience
* Able to secure documentation highlighting technical issues and serve as conduit of these issues back to product teams
Preferred qualifications:
* Prior experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Account Manager, or Solutions Engineer
* Experience with tools such as Smartsheet, Airtable, or similar tracking/dashboard platforms
* Prior experience supporting an escalation or partner-success function
* Familiarity with accounting software, practice management software or accounting firm ecosystem
Technical Program Management Craft Skills:
* Leverages technical domain expertise and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agent-driven development to rapidly onboard, partner with technical SMEs, and deliver on tech strategy
* Applies AI and emerging tools to accelerate analysis, shape technical approaches, and deepen influence on product and platform decisions
