Job description

Ready to make a positive impact and create clean energy technology? We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive a high-powered, high-efficacy customer delivery process-from planning through to execution. The Technical Project Manager works closely with Sales, Engineering, Customer Success and other internal teams to ensure the success of our utility customers. You will provide data-driven project governance and help grow and measure new opportunities for the business.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Leads and project manages the Customer onboarding experience, providing a best in class experience
  • Drives internal teams to deliver the product to Customers on schedule and within scope
  • Utilizes standards, processes, documentation and systems to efficiently manage onboarding new customers, project planning, requirements gathering, resourcing, budgeting, change management, risk management, and project closure
  • Manage and maintain ongoing delivery processes, timelines, risk mitigation and client communications
  • Achieve an understanding of the GridX product capabilities, and technical integration processes to guide customers throughout the delivery process
  • Manage stakeholders to ensure that all customer requirements are scoped and delivered on time and within budget
  • Communicate with internal and external executives regarding project status on a weekly or ad hoc basis. Ensure customer's expectations are properly set according to project constraints, updates, and challenges
  • Own and evolve the project management function, including methodologies, automation techniques, and polices
  • Consultant mindset, able to effectively communicate risks, develop mitigation strategies and strategically drive a project while maintaining good faith with a customer
  • Experienced at following and developing standard project management methodologies and best practices

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software product/ project/ client management experience with a track record of success delivering complex, cross-functional projects with large enterprise customers
  • Experience working on large, complex technology integration projects requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and planning, and multi-channel communication requirements
  • Experience working with utility customers and/or in the energy industry
  • Strong project manager with experience in a fast-paced, tech environment requiring adaptability and high-quality performance
  • Master of multitasking with repeatable tool sets and systems
  • Creative and willing to push the envelope
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively
  • Implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure consistent and high-quality customer interactions
  • Ability to work across time zones and with offshore teams in a dynamic start-up setting effective communicator and skilled facilitator

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in management consulting or strategic account management, preferably with a software/technology company
  • Experience developing or implementing technology roadmaps and portfolios
  • Experience with energy efficiency and program implementation is highly desired
  • Experience working with a start-up
  • Interest in Clean Energy, Climate Change, Decarbonization, or Renewable Energy is a big plus
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

Compensation
GridX takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location in the US. Higher cost-of-living areas will land toward the top of the range and lower cost-of-living areas toward the bottom. For this position, base salary may range from $110,000 to $140,000/year + benefits/perks. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on skill set, qualifications, experience and location.
