The George E. Booth Co. is a family-owned and operatedindustrial automation sales company looking to hire their next full-time Project Technical Sales Engineer at our Indianapolis location.

The George E. Booth Co. is a majordistributor of process instrumentation products, controls, and related servicesto customers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.  Foundedin 1963, George E. Booth Sr. recognized that there would be a natural evolutionin the development of products for the industrial instrumentation processfield. 

The ideal candidate will have abilities to interface withcustomers to fully develop an understanding of customer needs and maintain openchannels of communication with both internal and external partners to ensureall customer needs are met. Position is bound primarily to a standard officedesk station with occasional travel to local territory during normal businesshours. A clean driving record required. Responsibilities for the TSE

  • TSE assist customers with selection of products based on the scope of project needs through various applications, prepare quotations and follow-up on status.
  • TSE will need a comprehensive understanding of technical products that may include but are not limited to concepts of pressure, flow, resistance, etc. 
  • TSE will troubleshoot situations with customers to analysis and interpret any problems customers may encounter.
  • TSE will enter orders into ERP system and Salesforce to help theTechnical Sales team, as needed.
  • TSE will document quotation and follow-up through Salesforce/ERPsystem.
  • Position will be required to process all orders through GEBCOERP system.
  • TSE will be responsible for day-to-day decisions related topricing and overall customer care within the company's established parameters.
  • Position will coordinate and communicate regularly with outside salespersonto fully develop accounts within designated sales territory.
  • Interaction withcustomers on-site may be required at times.

Requirements for the TSE

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field (electrical, engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience in technical field required.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to workindependently or with a team are a must for success in this role.
  • Results-driven personality a plus.
  • Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwiserequired especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
  • Must be willing to travel locally with occasional overnights. 
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in technical field with customerservice or similar.
