Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Location: Fremont, CA – 5 Days Onsite (Local Only)
Duration: 6–12+ Months Contract – Long-Term

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong software engineering experience and exposure to AI/Generative AI products to lead large-scale, highly technical programs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving programs from concept through production, coordinating multiple engineering teams, managing dependencies and risks, and communicating program status and business impact to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive large-scale technical programs from planning through production.
  • Define program scope, roadmaps, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Partner closely with Software, Firmware, Application, Service Engineering, and Product teams.
  • Drive execution across multiple engineering teams and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
  • Understand and participate in technical discussions involving APIs, databases, backend services, cloud architecture, and SDLC.
  • Help identify and evaluate appropriate AI/Generative AI use cases, while understanding technical limitations, risks, and business value.
  • Drive AI product strategy, delivery, governance, and production readiness.
  • Establish and improve development standards, release processes, code review practices, and quality controls.
  • Identify program risks, roadblocks, resource constraints, and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present program updates, risks, decisions, and business impact to Directors, Senior Directors, and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, release planning, and cross-functional execution.
  • Use Jira and Confluence for program tracking and documentation.
  • Utilize SQL to query data, understand basic table structures, analyze metrics, and validate KPIs.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale software programs involving multiple engineering teams.
  • Strong software engineering background with hands-on frontend or backend development experience.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • APIs
    • Databases
    • Cloud Architecture
    • Backend Services
    • SDLC
  • Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, AI products, copilots, automation platforms, or AI governance.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership, drive decisions, resolve conflicts, and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, Agile/Scrum, and release planning.
  • Ability to work 5 days onsite in Fremont, CA.
