Success as a Staff Technical Program Manager in our team requires someone who is centered around product and engineering excellence with a bias for action. 

You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; successfully partnering with a wide group of disciplines across the company.  You will own cross-team initiatives, identify best practices and bring your industry experience to bear on a company-wide scale. 

You will engage with complex engineering programs, demonstrating leadership and a strong command of the tools and process required to achieve the teams' goals.  You will lead programs in a principled way, and lead by example centering quality and developer experience when the opportunities arise. You will have exceptional communication skills, keeping up- and down-stream dependencies well aligned, and all stakeholders well-informed.

You're as comfortable writing clear and concise content for leadership as you are leading a system design meeting.

Ideal candidates will have experienced multiple product cycles involving software and services, including up-and down-stream dependencies

You'll have...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar related technical field.

10+ years working experience in product, technical program management, or feature development on hardware, software, and/or services .

Familiarity with modern software tracking tools (ie: JIRA, etc.).

Familiarity with modern software development practices & tools (continuous integration / continuous deployment).

Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale, cross-functional software programs.

Experience influencing and driving alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders from concept through launch and post launch iteration

Experience coaching other TPMs, improving processes, and creating reusable frameworks that scale beyond any single program.

Expertise in Agile methodology.

Experience defining success metrics, analyzing program data, and using dashboards or experimentation results to drive prioritization and decision making.

Experience working with customers, connecting technical delivery to customer outcomes.

Experience communicating program health, trade offs, and strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $132,800-$250,800.     

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...

Partner with key stakeholders to define, scope, prioritize and deliver major strategic initiatives that span multiple teams and multiple organizations across Ford. 

Understand the needs of stakeholders across the company and use your influence as appropriate to achieve alignment on the prioritized initiatives. 

Lead the defining and tracking of success criteria and performance metrics, including Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] / Key Performance Indicators. 

Implement and execute roadmaps, schedules, project plans, and resourcing plans to enable Ford to meet customer commitments across all customer constituencies. 

Lead team members on modern, world-class, software development practices including CICD and principled execution of a technical plan (including management of milestone progress, dependency tracking, issue triage, backlog management and daily scrum leveraging tools like Jira). 

Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks across multiple engineering teams.

Personally own the relationships with other divisions at Ford, ensuring dependencies are met and quality of deliverables is high. 

Embody the voice of the customer, guiding your team to be data-driven in its decision-making. 

Stakeholders will be heard inclusively and requirements / scope definition will be exhaustive

Priorities will be set based upon aligned principles

Direction will be set quickly and decisively
