This role applies deep knowledge of one or more engineering domains to influence clients and stakeholders in achieving the strategic objectives of engineering projects and programs. The Senior Technical Program Manager contributes technical expertise to the development of new products, collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines including, but not limited to, chemical, electrical, hardware, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, process, software, and technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate technical roadblocks to help troubleshoot and drive results across engineering initiatives
  • Manage complex projects and programs directly tied to the development, implementation, or upgrade of manufacturing systems and processes, hardware products, software programs, and technology platforms
  • Lead executive and department-level reviews for large-scale programs, providing transparency into the health, risk, and financials of individual projects
  • Manage teams toward the achievement of program-level milestones and prioritize deliverables to meet strategic needs
  • Drive requirements scoping, analysis, prioritization, and planning - including interdependencies, business and customer priorities, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple product teams
  • Apply knowledge of customer gaps, needs, and required usages to drive teams toward delivering high-ROI products
  • Advise and mentor project and program management teams, providing guidance and leading the advancement of project management competencies
  • Exercise thought leadership to innovate new processes and procedures within the engineering domain
  • Oversee projects and programs requiring business acumen as well as interaction and domain knowledge in one or more engineering areas such as design, development, architecture, validation, manufacturing, and processes

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Program and Project Management within the high-tech industry
  • Experience working directly with large, business-critical partners across multiple geographies for program and project management
  • Experience interfacing with multi-level employees, management, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification
  • Program Life Cycle (PLC), project management concepts, and software methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) while managing a large, dynamic portfolio of technology
  • In-depth knowledge of Ethernet deliverables and implementations
  • Working knowledge of various operating systems
