Job description

About the Position: This supervisory position is located at Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Civil Works, Washington, DC. The incumbent leads the Program Execution and Controls Team, overseeing nationwide Civil Works program resources, performance analysis, automated program management systems, policy development, and performance metrics.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1. Managing appropriations for a large Federal program in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policy; 2. Analyzing program performance to identify trends and recommend improvements to program execution; 3. Developing performance metrics to evaluate organizational effectiveness and support executive decision-making; 4. Advising senior leaders on budget execution, resource allocation, and program management issues; and 5. Supervising professional employees by assigning work, evaluating performance, and developing staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
