About the role:
As a APX WBS-16, Piping and Pipping Supports Manager you will manage the successful procurement, delivery, and turnover of equipment supporting major projects within the APX portfolio.
You will manage all procurement phases, from pre-PO through final delivery, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, financial, and schedule goals. We ask that you collaborate and provide leadership to finish projects in parallel.
You will report to the APx Major Mechanical Director and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. This is a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program management models that align with global execution strategies for Energy System projects.
  • Forecast program performance, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to achieve safety, quality, and financial goals.
  • Be the trusted partner to project procurement leaders for major customer projects.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Delivery Stream Engineers and execution plans to ensure delivery and profitable growth.
  • Lead Delivery Stream teams across Westinghouse, supplier, and customer sites.
  • Guide decision-making and strategy for procurement of components and equipment.
  • Collaborate with APx Supply Chain partners to develop strategic sourcing strategies.
  • Oversee mentoring of new hires and employees new to customer projects.
  • Be the primary contact for project management, status updates, and delivery responsibilities.
  • Support project management staffing forecasts and participate in bid opportunities/meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including experience in a leadership role creating major technical design projects.
