WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Global Payments Technology at RBC develops and implements payment solutions to support the bank's global operations. We design, build, and maintain payment systems, infrastructure, and applications that enable secure, efficient, and reliable payment processing for RBC's customers.

As RBC accelerates its AI adoption strategy, we are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager with a strong delivery background to lead complex programs, including AI-driven initiatives. You will manage projects within an optimized SDLC framework supporting both traditional delivery and AI development workflows, ensuring timely delivery of business results while maintaining high-quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.

The successful candidate will lead projects from initiation to implementation and coach Agile teams, ensuring adoption of Agile principles and practices in the evolving landscape of AI-enabled solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact, complex programs with tight timelines, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Manage project schedules, budgets/financial allocations, risks, and agreed-upon scope; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across technology, business, and platform teams; communicate project status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership
  • Evaluate AI integration opportunities; partner with AI Center of Excellence to pilot and implement AI solutions following governance frameworks and responsible AI principles
  • Lead internal and external cross-functional teams in delivering complex technical solutions, defining specifications, architecture, and integration points
  • Lead and coach Agile teams; facilitate Scrum ceremonies and drive adoption of Agile principles, processes, and best practices
  • Optimize staff allocations and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery; forecast and track expenditures with transparency
  • Ensure project documentation and compliance with RBC policies and industry standards; maintain centralized issue logs and ensure timely resolution

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • 10+ years delivering complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end with proven ability to manage scope, budget, risks, and tight timelines
  • Strong Agile/Scrum expertise with hands-on experience coaching teams and facilitating ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Retrospectives)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across technology, business, and platform teams
  • Strong risk and issue management skills with proven ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, and escalate critical issues with appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Proven budget management, resource allocation, and financial forecasting skills with accountability for cost-effective delivery

Nice-to-have:

  • Previous experience delivering payments initiatives within Canada and US, focused on cheque processing, low value payments, RTR, eTransfer or any other product
  • Knowledge of payments technology, and experience integrating AI solutions into delivery workflows
