JOB TITLE: Program Assistant, School Improvement
1. POSITION PURPOSE: This position provides general secretarial/clerical, record keeping, and organizational support for assigned School Improvement programs or grants.
2. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide support for activities associated with assigned programs or grants, including processing purchase orders, personal services contracts, and district reimbursements and invoicing.
- Assist with annual budget development; monitor and reconcile assigned program and grant budgets.
- Order supplies for assigned programs.
- Provide secretarial/clerical support to the program staff including processing required grant program reports and preparing correspondence and documents.
- Assist with collection and organization of data, including student information, necessary to support assigned initiatives.
- Create and maintain databases of information for program activities.
- Assist with the planning and organization of trainings/workshops/meetings, and other program-related events and activities.
- Provide note-taking support for meetings as assigned.
- Update and maintain information on various online platforms.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of office experience OR a combination of post high school education and experience are required
- Proficiency in the use of web-based communication tools and information sharing systems, spreadsheets, database, and word processing software
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping processes are essential
- Ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish is preferred
