Air Force Civilian Service is currently seeking a full-time Logistics Management Specialist to work in the Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate, Sentinel Systems Division, at Hill Air Force Base, near Layton, Utah.
This position (988521) is NH-0346-03. The basic salary range for this position is $76,463 - $100,018 based on the Value of Position, which does not include locality pay.
**Value of Position: If your current basic salary is within the band, but above the stated Value of Position, your basic salary will not be reduced if you are selected for the position.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist functioning as the Technical Order Management Agent within the Systems Integrations Segment, Product Support IPT, to serve as the focal point for managing the acquisition, military specification compliance, publishing, storage, distribution, sustainment, and archiving of technical orders and related technical data throughout the weapon system's entire life cycle.
DUTIES:
• Serves as the primary authority for the planning, development, validation, distribution, and sustainment of all Sentinel Technical Orders (TOs), ensuring compliance with Air Force and DoW policy throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Leads and coordinates a multidisciplinary team responsible for technical data management, including the integration of engineering, logistics, and program management inputs into TO products.
• Develops and implements strategies for the creation, review, and continuous improvement of TOs, ensuring they support operational effectiveness, maintainability, and safety of the Sentinel weapon system.
• Oversees the technical order change management process, ensuring timely incorporation of engineering changes, field feedback, and lessons learned into TO updates.
• Facilitates collaboration with internal and external stakeholders-including engineering, logistics, operations, and contractor teams-to ensure TOs accurately reflect system configuration and support requirements.
• Manages the validation and verification process for TOs, coordinating with users and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and usability.
• Ensures the secure handling, storage, and dissemination of classified and sensitive technical data in accordance with applicable security requirements.
• Advises program leadership on technical order policy, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies, providing recommendations to resolve complex technical data challenges.
• Represents the Technical Order Management Agency in working groups, program reviews, and cross-functional teams, advocating for technical data needs and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Monitors and reports on the status of TO development and sustainment activities, identifying resource requirements and recommending corrective actions to meet schedule and quality goals.
• Supports training and familiarization activities for TO users, ensuring effective transition of technical data products to operational units.
• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the TOMA team, mentoring staff and promoting best practices in technical order management.
SKILLS:
• Strong communication, leadership skills and a background in logistics and acquisition management are highly desired.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders to meet mission requirements is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with nuclear enterprise, preferably with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) is desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
• Knowledge of applying the 12 IPS Elements is highly preferred.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
• Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Life Cycle Logistics "Foundational" certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
