Recruiting Profile 

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Technical Operator I to join our TEAM! As the Technical Operator I we need someone who can adjusts industrial machinery and equipment to be within the parameter of the product.  

Primary Objective 

Monitors operation of all machines within the department to ensure optimal production efficiencies  

Major Function and Scope 

Operates, adjusts industrial machinery and equipment to be within the parameters of the product 

Insures all product is processed within the department assigned 

Performs quality checks of work and documents on appropriate paperwork 

Cleans machinery, equipment and work area with provided supplies and utensils 

Maintains and fixes production equipment of assigned department 

Assists on training operators within the department 

Works with technicians and contractors within the department on training procedures and maintenance of machinery. 

Maintains a clean work area including the proper care and storage of tools and equipment 

Communicate quality issues and problems to supervisor/manager 

Monitor product volume, quality, and record data 

Comply and support Environment Health and Safety policies and procedures 

Performs other related duties as required 

Sorting Specific Duties:  

Fine tune sorting line to adhere to pieces per minutes requirements 

Knowledge of flaw master functions 

Knowledge of label machine, system and adjustments  

Adjustments of techno speeds and parameters 

Basic tool list supplied by department of minor adjustments, if needed 

Experience and Knowledge Required 

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Technical Certificate preferred. 

1+ years previous manufacturing/production experience. 

Competencies 

Routinely working at a height that requires fall protection. Good oral communications skills.  Good listening skills.  Ability to understand and speak basic English

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.  The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.  The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.  The noise level is usually loud.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
