Who: A rapidly growing startup seeking a project-savvy accountant with strong technical and operational experience.

What: You'll manage project accounting, ERP setup, month-end close, inventory, and policy development.

When: Role available immediately to support rapid systems and process scaling.

Where: Hybrid role based near Ball Ground, GA with 2–3 in-office days per week.

Position Overview:
We’re hiring a Project Controller to report directly to the CFO and drive key financial operations in a scaling startup. This role will lead the implementation of Avalara and the project module in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, manage complex project accounting under ASC 606, and own policy creation across payroll, procurement, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
● Implement Avalara and Dynamics 365 Business Central project module
● Own project accounting including ASC 606, milestone/progress billing, and revenue recognition
● Manage monthly close and internal reporting processes
● Develop and implement processes for purchase orders and inventory management
● Support payroll processing, benefits administration, and policy documentation
● Contribute to employee handbook and compliance protocols

Qualifications:
● Strong technical accounting skills, especially in ASC 606 and project-based environments
● Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and ERP systems (preferably Dynamics 365 BC)
● Familiarity with corporate tax and policy development
● CPA is a plus, but not required if technical proficiency is demonstrated
● Must be located within commuting distance to Ball Ground, GA
