Job description

Job Description
Schedule - 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM
The Dubuque Distribution Center supports a high-volume, fast-moving supply chain operation with fluctuating seasonal demand, multiple product categories, and tight service-level expectations. The Operations Manager owns results for a shift of about 20 employees and is accountable for the full operating picture - safety, quality, productivity, and cost - not just day-to-day supervision. This is a leadership role for someone ready to own outcomes, not just oversee a shift.
A day in the life
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of about 20 warehouse associates, driving performance through clear expectations and consistent feedback
  • Own shift-level financial results - monitor budget, track variances, and take corrective action when metrics slip
  • Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving, process ownership, and cross-shift coordination
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members to keep the team staffed and ready
  • Partner across shifts and departments to keep the building running as one operation, not four separate ones

You own this if you have...
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience in a managerial role
  • Proven capability in identifying and implementing CI actions that deliver measurable improvements to cost, service and quality
  • Demonstrated capabilities in developing others and growing leadership competencies in their direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Ability to analyze data and determine actions based on improvement opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
