Job description

IT Support Technician

Frontline, LLC - Los Angeles, CA
Full-time hourly 35-37 hours per week $28 - $30 per hour. On-site at a client location

The role

Frontline is hiring an IT Support Technician to work on-site full time at one of our clients - a nonprofit in the Sunland-Tujunga area. You will be their day-to-day IT support and the person on campus who knows how everything is set up.

The work is concrete and has a clear finish line. A new employee starts Monday and needs accounts and a laptop ready. Someone's computer failed and needs replacing today. Staff can't do their jobs when technology gets in the way, and you are the reason it doesn't.

You will be based primarily at the Sunland campus, with occasional travel to satellite offices in Foothill, Van Nuys, West Hollywood, or Upland. Work-related driving on the clock is reimbursed at $0.70 per mile.

What you'll do
  • Set up new employees end to end - create their accounts and access, then build and deliver their laptop and mobile device
  • Replace and upgrade computers, moving users and their data onto new hardware
  • Close out accounts and access when employees leave
  • Handle daily support: password and multi-factor resets, lockouts, printers, VPN, network drives, and application issues
  • Keep documentation and equipment records accurate, and write clear notes on every ticket
Who you are
  • Must possess strong IT troubleshooting skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to discuss technical information with non-technical individuals
  • Ability to handle urgent IT support needs in a calm, respectful, and efficient manner
  • Excellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities.
  • Displays a high-level of enthusiasm for work, professional conduct, ethics, works well in a team environment and presents themselves professionally
  • Helpful:ย CompTIA A+, ticketing or RMM experience, mobile device management, basic networking, bilingual English/Spanish.
Before you start

Because of where you will be working, this role requires a motor vehicle report, a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and TB test, Live Scan fingerprinting and background clearance, and a behind-the-wheel driving assessment. Once everything clears, you will complete CPR/First Aid certification, orientation, and de-escalation training during your first days.

Requirements

  • Two or more years in hands-on IT support, or a strong technical foundation with real setup experience
  • Prior experience where you had to configure, deploy, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, peripheral devices, servers, networks and other applications specific to the end users.
  • Experience creating user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, or Google Workspace
  • Comfortable building and troubleshooting Windows computers, including domain join
  • Basic macOS familiarity, or the ability to get there quickly
  • Clear communication - you will be working with staff in person all day
  • Frequently required to sit and stand for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, mouse, telephone and basic office equipment. Normal Office, light work (lift up to 50 lbs).
  • Attend onboarding with our Learning & Development team and complete additional mandated training, including CPR/First Aid certification, New Employee Orientation, and verbal de-escalation training
  • A valid California driver's license with at least three years of clean driving history, and a reliable personal vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check
