Job description


BAE Systems is seeking transitioning service members for a DoW SkillBridge opportunity supporting facilities, infrastructure, and engineering project activities within the Sentinel Launch Systems portfolio at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
This SkillBridge opportunity is designed for service members with experience in facilities engineering, infrastructure planning, construction coordination, civil engineering, public works, utilities, or related military engineering environments. Ideal backgrounds may include Air Force Civil Engineer, Army Department of Public Works, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Navy NAVFAC, SEABEE, or similar facilities/infrastructure career fields.
The selected SkillBridge participant will gain exposure to large-scale government program execution while supporting project engineering activities tied to facilities and infrastructure requirements. This may include coordination with engineering teams, program stakeholders, construction partners, government counterparts, and other cross-functional teams supporting complex infrastructure efforts.
Typical Responsibilities
Support facilities and infrastructure project planning, coordination, and execution activities.
Assist with review of project documentation, technical requirements, schedules, action items, and stakeholder inputs.
Support engineering and infrastructure teams with tracking, organizing, and consolidating project information.
Participate in meetings with project managers, engineers, government partners, and other stakeholders.
Assist with identifying project risks, open actions, documentation gaps, and coordination needs.
Support communication between technical teams and program stakeholders.
Assist with infrastructure-related reviews involving facilities, utilities, civil works, construction planning, sustainment, or modernization activities.
Gain exposure to government program execution, project engineering processes, and large-scale infrastructure support.
SkillBridge Program Details
This is an unpaid DoW SkillBridge training opportunity. SkillBridge participants remain active-duty service members during the training period and continue to receive military pay and benefits from their service branch.
Participation in this opportunity is contingent upon command approval, SkillBridge eligibility, business need, program alignment, and completion of required onboarding steps.
This SkillBridge opportunity is intended to provide hands-on exposure to BAE Systems' project engineering and infrastructure support environment. Potential full-time employment consideration may be reviewed separately based on business need, candidate qualifications, available openings, and successful completion of the SkillBridge experience.
Required Skills and Education
