Job description

Role: SAP Technical Program Manager (W2 Position)

Location: Dearborn, MI – (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Experience: 8+ Years

Position Description:

  • Employees in this job function plan and oversees the execution of projects and/or programs that are focused on technology implementation or upgrade of technology applications capabilities and solutions (e.g., enterprise applications, SAAS, internal infrastructure, networking, data centers, labs, etc.). They could also act as Scrum Masters or Agile Coaches to ensure team lives by the values and practices of scrum by embracing Agile/scrum/Kanban/Lean principles
  •  Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop project plans, define the project/program scope, goals and deliverables for areas of technology application development and implementation for the enterprise
    • Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with IT teams, technology vendors, etc.
    • Facilitate the development effort by creating and monitoring an efficient, streamlined process between the internal teams and external technology providers
    • Effectively communicate status updates to all stakeholders across multiple organizations/ teams, with reinforcing quantitative measurements
    • Ensure project and program objectives, deliverables and results are completed within the agreed scope, timeline, budget and allocated resources
    • Provide accurate and insightful analysis and reporting, presenting the data in a clear format for presentations and reviews
    • Identify risks and create risk mitigation plans to ensure timely completion of the projects/programs
    • Manage technology product goals and forecasts. Collaborate with technical development team(s) to translate the long-term objectives into actionable technology strategy and an implementation roadmap
  • 9. Guide execution by applying standard frameworks and development lifecycle methodologies like agile, waterfall etc.

Skills Required:

SAP HANA, SAP ERP, Ad Hoc Reporting, Analytical skills

Skills Preferred:

Complex Deployment Planning, Microsoft Excel, Jira. This role owns end-to-end SAP cutover planning and execution, including governance, risk mitigation, mock cutovers, testing coordination, and hypercare. While non-technical, it requires prior SAP S/4HANA deployment experience and cross-functional leadership, placing it above standard PMO support but below SAP functional or technical consulting rates

Experience Required:

Specialist Exp: 6 years in IT; 3 years in Program Mgmt., Expert in Proj Mgr

Experience Preferred:

Strong communication skills and the ability to lead meetings, identify dependencies and risks, and coordinate tasks across teams of several hundred people.
