IT Country Manager (USA)

Position Summary

The IT Country Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of local IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems and infrastructure across Semperit's U.S. operations.

This hands-on role provides first-, second-, and third-level support while coordinating closely with global IT teams to ensure compliance with corporate standards, cybersecurity requirements, and technology initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, business users, and digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level IT support for local users and facilities.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT and OT infrastructure.
  • Manage workstation, server, network, and peripheral device environments.
  • Administer Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Support email systems, archiving solutions, and collaboration tools.
  • Oversee backup and recovery processes and ensure business continuity.
  • Coordinate procurement, installation, and lifecycle management of hardware and software.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to support production-related systems and OT environments.
  • Coordinate local infrastructure projects with central IT and external vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to group-wide IT policies, standards, and cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Report implementation progress and project status to central IT functions.
  • Identify and implement innovative IT and OT solutions that improve operational efficiency and production control.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent technical education and relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or IT operations.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments is highly desirable.
